Food Observations

A blog for eaters

Bite San Diego

Yesterday we spent the afternoon on a wonderful walking tour of Coronado that included a variety of tastings along the way. Some of the stops didn’t really lend themselves to iPhone photography for varying reasons. They included a wine shop where we had some tastings and an interesting little shop that specialized in olive oils and balsamic vinegars.

Shown below is Peohe’s which is an institution in Coronado. This is their popular coconut shrimp appetizer. Also Alexander’s Pizza, which is consistently voted best pizza in Coronado. Not sure how many pizza places there are on the island, may not be a lot of competition. We ended up at a really nice but cramped candy store further down Orange Ave.
