Rubio’s

Outstanding grilled shrimp burrito at Rubio’s! Incredibly small, but super tasty.

McDonald’s

There’s not much I like about McDonald’s anymore, but a decent breakfast is not hard to find here. One of my favorites is the sausage biscuit with egg. Depending on your timing and location, you can actually get a good hot biscuit.

Little Caesar’s

Outstanding $5 Hot & Ready pizza from Little Caesar’s for the kids. I might have snuck a piece or two… Seriously though, one of the best deals around as long as it hasn’t been sitting in the hotbox too long.

Outback Steakhouse

I wish I could grow these in my garden! One of the best appetizers around of any restaurant, the venerable bloomin onion at Outback Steakhouse.

The Oaks Grille

Tasty order of fish & chips at The Oaks Grille. Not the best I’ve had in town, but a respectable dish nonetheless. They have a new version made with a sriracha batter that I’d love to try soon.

Charm Thai Kitchen

One of the best places for lunch specials in Rancho Bernardo is Charm Thai Kitchen. And not just my favorite for Thai food, but an all around great restaurant. It also helps that they’re in a shopping center with one of the least jacked up parking lots in RB during the lunch rush. My favorite thing to order at CTK is the Pad Thai. They always make it with the perfect balance of sweet, sour and spicy!

Outback Steakhouse

New roasted garlic filet medallions and fried mac & cheese bites at Outback Steakhouse. Both were outstanding!

The Par Lounge

Last St. Patrick’s Day at The Par Lounge with an outstanding pizza and green beer.

Players Sports Bar

Tasty gyro sammich at Players in Poway! The meat seemed to be shaved unusually thin though. Outstanding tzatziki sauce and some of the best thin, crispy fries I’ve had in Poway.

El Taco Loco Shop

Outstanding al pastor tacos at El Taco Loco Shop inside Ramona Market!
