Harry’s Seafood

Outstanding Blackened Redfish at Harry’s Seafood in St. Augustine, FL! For only $3.99 more you can get it blue crab crusted. This made it “Blue Crab Crusted Blackened Redfish”. That’s three colors in one dish! Such a marvel, perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. Also enjoyed an order of excellent Fried Green Tomatoes. Harry’s is located in a beautiful and historic 3-story building right on the Matanzas River. Established in 1987, Harry’s serves the best of southern, cajun and creole flavors in classic and modern dishes. If you ever visit Florida, I highly recommend you find the nearest one. There are five locations throughout the state.

Dixie Crossroads

Outstanding fried catfish and rock shrimp platter at Dixie Crossroads in Titusville, FL! Their crab cake though was surprisingly good. Rivaling the best I’ve had in Maryland over the years. I was impressed.

Embassy Suites

Such richly browned omelettes at Embassy Suites in Downtown Orlando! Seriously though, I eat at many Embassy Suites hotels around the country and I sincerely appreciate their cooked to order breakfast. This one in Orlando though had consistently overcooked omelettes. At least they looked like an omelette, unlike LAX South which looks more like a thin, folded crepe.

Harp & Celt Irish Pub

In central Florida for a couple days! Had a very tasty order of fish & chips and Guinness draft at Harp & Celt Irish Pub in Downtown Orlando.

The Godfather

Outstanding spaghetti carbonara at The Godfather! One of San Diego’s finest Italian restaurants.

Mamma Ramona’s

A fairly institutional chicken parmigiana at Mamma Ramona’s. Not among the best parm I’ve had but it was decent nonetheless. I think I’ll stick with their outstanding cannelloni.

Pinto Thai

Pad Kee Mao, also known as “drunken noodles” at Pinto Thai in Ramona. First time trying this dish and I wasn’t really impressed. The texture of those wide noodles was just off putting. I think I’ll stick with their excellent Pad Thai, fried rice or curry dishes next time.

Ralph’s Fresh Fare

Here’s a tray of my favorite grocery store susie! Spicy California roll from Ralph’s. I appreciate the faux grass decoration but it didn’t make anything taste better. This store has an amazing fresh food area with foodstuffs that would appeal to any taste.

Chili’s Grill & Bar

Outstanding Boneless Buffalo Chicken Salad at Chili’s! Crispy chicken tossed in a spicy Buffalo sauce, bacon, blue cheese crumbles, pico de gallo, tortilla strips and house-made ranch dressing. I dearly adore salads that eat like a meal!

Casa Machado Mexican Restaurant

Outstanding carne asada quesadilla at Casa Machado!
