Chili’s Grill & Bar
“Alex’s Santa Fe Burger” at Chili’s was super tasty although quite the hot mess! It’s stacked high with avocado, pepper jack cheese, red onion, roasted jalaps, mater, pickles, cilantro and some sort of spicy Santa Fe sauce.
One of my favorite chain restaurants, Chili’s, always brings it home with their signature baby back ribs! Their BBQ combo platter is excellent. I always order it with the jalapeño cheddar sausage, etc. I just don’t recommend their brisket.
Outstanding Southern Smokehouse Burger at Chili’s! I dearly adore their house made pickle chips served on the side.
One of the best things to order at Chili’s are the outstanding beef enchiladas! More legit than some Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Bottomless chips & salsa round it all out in fine fashion. The chips are on the thin side so you have to go easy dipping into that salsa.
Outstanding Crispy Buffalo Bleu Crispers at Chili’s! Also one of the best fried cheese appetizers I’ve had. Crispy cheddar bites made with Wisconsin cheese curds.
Outstanding chips & guac appetizer at Chili’s. Only wish the chips were a bit thicker. They tend to break too easy trying to get a daub of that great guacamole.
Here’s a tasty dish Chili calls the “Fresh Mex Bowl”. Your choice of chicken with chipotle pesto sauce (whatever that is) and cumin-lime sour cream all served on a bed of citrus-chile rice.
Chili has been stepping up their menu of late and it’s really good. I’d still rather go here than Applebee’s. Here’s their new Ancho Salmon! It’s seared, chile rubbed Atlantic salmon, drizzled with a spicy citrus-chile sauce, and topped with cilantro and quest fresco. Served with a tasty citrus chile rice and fresh steamed broccoli. Not necessarily a huge dish for the heavy eaters among us, but it satiated me well.
We also had their fried cheddar cheese appetizer which was just excellent. Not all fried cheese things are created equal, and Chili did a great job with this one!
