A SoCal institution that never disappoints! The venerable Double Double is consistently excellent!

On the Border

I’m not sure if it’s still on their menu, but this brisket quesadilla is one of the best things I’ve put in my mouth at On the Border!

O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub

Outstanding order of hot, crispy and delicious fish & chips, albeit somewhat bland. O’Sullivan’s is a super neat place in downtown Esco with sketchy parking.

California Pizza Kitchen

Not sure what’s going on in the kitchen at CPK but they definitely underwhelmed me on this visit. Maybe I ordered the wrong things. First, the most unfortunate tasting fried mac & cheese I’ve ever put in my mouth! Incredibly dry, bland and institutional tasting. Secondly, I’ve never seen a more homely looking wedge salad. Finally, the pizza was tasty despite the circumference of excessively pillowy dough.

Black Angus

Outstanding grilled salmon at Black Angus in Escondido!

Cocina del Charro

Outstanding Chile Colorado at Cocina del Charro in Escondido!

Black Angus

Outstanding Cobb salad at Black Angus in Escondido!

Anejo Bar & Grill

Outstanding carne asada quesadilla at Anejo Bar & Grill in Escondido!

On the Border

My last tasty order of enchiladas from OTB! Unfortunately they forgot to crown them with those fresh jalapeƱo slices.

Carin de Ria

Outstanding chicken pancit at Carin de Ria in Escondido!
