Rock & Brews

Such a stunning presentation on this delicious “Hotel California Cobb” at Rock & Brews in El Segundo, CA!

California Fish Grill

Outstanding grilled sea bass, Cajun style at California Fish Grill! One of my new favorite restaurants in El Segundo.

Frijoles Mexican Restaurant

Tasty order of chicken mole enchiladas at Frijoles in Inglewood! Not the best I’ve had, but I give them credit for trying.

Embassy Suites

Outstanding order of crispy chicken wings and a nice cucumber salad at 1440 Bistro inside the Embassy Suites LAX South in El Segundo!

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria

In the world of pizza, Grimaldi’s is an institution! The family business began with the opening of their first location under the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. They are now a small chain, dotted sporadically throughout the United States. I was fortunate enough recently to try California’s only location, in El Segundo. What sets this place apart are their coal-fired brick ovens. It produces a unique aroma, flavor and crisp crust that is just second to none. Definitely one of the best pies I’ve had in SoCal!

California Fish Grill

Outstanding Idaho trout grilled Cajun style at California Fish Grill! One of my new favorite restaurants in the South Bay LA region.

1440 Bistro and Bar

Outstanding fish & chips at the Embassy Suites in El Segundo! Hot, crispy and love those waffle fries. One of my favorite things to order at 1440 Bistro and Bar.

North Italia

My new favorite Italian restaurant in SoCal is North Italia! This place really specializes in a hand crafted experience in all they do. The kitchen is open and everything, including their pasta, is handmade from scratch daily. Here’s their house specialty, Bolognese. Traditional meat sauce with tagliatelle and grana padano cheese. Simply outstanding!

1440 Bistro and Bar

Probably one of the best hotel restaurants I’ve eaten at across the nation! 1440 Bistro inside Embassy Suites LAX South in El Segundo is a remarkable standout. Menu is fairly short but what they make is just excellent. Quality and attention to detail like few places I’ve experienced. Here’s an outstanding Smoked Turkey Club. Made with bacon, gruyere cheese, avocado, mayo, little gem lettuce, and mater on ciabatta.

Frijoles Mexican Restaurant

One of my new favorite Mexican restaurants in the Inglewood/El Segundo, CA area is Frijoles! Anyone that knows me can see the irony here! Anyway the place looks like a dump from the outside, but that’s usually a good sign. Just down the street from LAX on Aviation Blvd. The patio is terrific with just the right amount of tacky Mexican decor that I appreciate. Here’s an outstanding tamale and enchilada combination plate.
