El Taco Loco Shop

Quite possibly the best order of rolled tacos in Ramona, CA! At El Taco Loco Shop inside Ramona Market. Their guacamole substance is somewhat loose in consistency, but I appreciate that they cover just about every square millimeter of my taquitos.

El Paraiso

Once or twice a year we cross the border into Los Algodones, Mexico for a day trip of eating and shopping. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve had better Mexican food here in Ramona, USA than I’ve had in MX!  This time was no different.  Nachos here made with carne asada and a pretty bland squirt sauce.  All served with a side of flies And maybe some droppings from the trees overhead…

Los Algodones

Visited the small border town of Los Algodones, Mexico today with friends while staying in Yuma, AZ. This town is known to have the highest concentration of dentists per capita than anywhere else in the world. Shown here is an excellent Negra Modelo beer and shrimp in garlic sauce. Had a wonderful visit, can’t wait to come back. Nothing like dumpy Tijuana.
