Blue Wave Bar & Grill

Excellent Denver Omelette at Blue Wave Bar & Grill located at the beautiful Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina on Shelter Island!

The Par Lounge

Outstanding “Hangover” omelette at The Par Lounge in Ramona! Jalapeño, sausage, cheddar and jack cheese, crowned with a nice daub of guacamole. Served with a side of hot, crispy, slightly greasy hash browns and a poorly toasted English muffin.

DJT

Big league French Omelet, that I can tell you! At DJT in Las Vegas, NV.

Ramona Cafe

Outstanding “Baja Scramble” at Ramona Cafe! Diced ham, jalapeños, maters and onions topped with cheddar and jack cheese; served with home fries and hot tortillas.

Embassy Suites Orlando

Merry Christmas 2021! Tasty, although slightly browned made to order Denver Omelette at Embassy Suites I-Drive in Orlando. What’s funny was the cook debating with me, saying what I ordered was a “western omelette”. I’m pretty sure they’re synonymous, but apparently east of the Mississippi they don’t call it a “Denver Omelette”. Ham, cheese, bell pepper and onion by the way. Recommend a hard pass on their taters.

The Oaks Grille

Outstanding “Hangover” Omelette with bland, undercooked hash browns at the OG! I did not have a hangover, but I always enjoy ordering this. Made with sausage, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, etc. Any egg dish here is always perfectly cooked. YMMV with the hash browns though.

Embassy Suites

Such richly browned omelettes at Embassy Suites in Downtown Orlando! Seriously though, I eat at many Embassy Suites hotels around the country and I sincerely appreciate their cooked to order breakfast. This one in Orlando though had consistently overcooked omelettes. At least they looked like an omelette, unlike LAX South which looks more like a thin, folded crepe.

Black Bear Diner

Visiting BBD during all the ‘rona mess was kind of a sad affair. Limited menu, etc. They were trying hard, I felt bad for them. “Joe’s Hobo Omelette” was tasty, but sadly no strip cut hash browns.

The Par Lounge

Tasty “Main Street BLTA” omelette at The Par Lounge for brunch. Smashed avocado, bacon, tomato, cheddar & jack cheese. Not sure what the “L” stands for. Unfortunately the cook added mushrooms which left me shocked and appalled.

Ramona Cafe

Outstanding “Spanish Omelette” at Ramona Cafe! Looks like a hot mess but it was delicious. Filled with a liberal amount of taco seasoned ground beef, green chilis and their excellent salsa; topped with melted monterey jack cheese. All of that going on no doubt contributed to the weepage out the side. Comes with home fried taters and your choice of toast, hot biscuit or English muffin. I always get the English muffin and it was toasted beautifully today. Only $11.99 – I highly recommend.
