Chili’s Grill & Bar

My favorite thing to order at Chili’s! Their outstanding “BBQ Combo” with jalapeño-cheddar smoked sausage and half order of baby back ribs, sauce on side. Plus street corn, fries, tasty toast and a nice cold draft IPA.

The Par Lounge

Monday night rib special at The Par Lounge was a fantastic value at only $10! The ribs themselves were quite unremarkable, although the rub was tasty. I definitely did not appreciate chunks of pineapple in my coleslaw.

Phil’s BBQ

(Visited November 12, 2019) Outstanding Half Rib Dinner at Phil’s BBQ in Santee! I always order mine sauce on the side, or “SOS” as they say at Phil’s. I believe this is one of their two locations still open for takeout during all this ‘rona mess.

Chili’s Grill & Bar

One of my favorite chain restaurants, Chili’s, always brings it home with their signature baby back ribs! Their BBQ combo platter is excellent. I always order it with the jalapeño cheddar sausage, etc. I just don’t recommend their brisket.

Phil’s BBQ

This dish at Phil’s underscores the fact that BBQ is always better on the bone. They call it “Rib-less Chick-less”. It’s basically boneless ribs and chicken with two sides. Unfortunately the chicken was over cooked and the ribs were dried out.

Phil’s BBQ

Sometimes I like to order the boneless ribs & chicken at Phil’s BBQ. That and a double helping of the best mac salad in SoCal. The great thing is you can eat everything with a fork! Really helpful on those days I don’t feel like taking a shower after eating at Phil’s.

Phil’s BBQ

Outstanding BBQ chicken & ribs at Phil’s BBQ!  I always order them sauce on the side, or “SOS” as they say at Phil’s.  Doing so keeps me from having to take two showers when I get home.  You can also find the absolute best mac salad in SoCal here!  I could just eat a big ol’ plate of that!

Phil’s BBQ

I just hate all the red lighting at Phil’s, I can never get a decent picture.  Always this hideous red cast.  Anyway, the beef ribs were huge, tasty and meaty along with the best mac salad in town!  Highly recommend getting an order of onion rings to share.  Some of the best I’ve had and not overly thick.

Outback Steakhouse

I’ve always been a fan of the seafood entrees at Outback but they also do a pretty good job with ribs, BBQ, etc.  here’s an order of baby backs with their excellent Steakhouse Mac & Cheese.

Kaminski’s BBQ & Sports Lounge

Here’s a great plate of beef ribs!  Two was plenty along with some outstanding fries and slaw.  Definitely needed the “lounge” part of this restaurant after such a meal…
