Nuevo Grill & Cantina

Love happy hour at Nuevo Grill! My fave on the HH menu continues to be the taquitos. Only $3.50, it’s their excellent carne asada meat chopped up, mixed with jalapeño and their red enchilada sauce, all grilled up, then hand-rolled into these tasty stubby chubbies… M-F 3-6p, worth a visit (depending on what you order). Plus the dollar off drink specials and outstanding chips & salsa.

On the Border

I’ve never been a fan of French fries in Mexican food, but these California tacos at OTB are excellent!

Nuevo Grill & Cantina

I’m pleased to report that the A/C was crankin’ at Nuevo Girl! Super comfortable and relaxing after working all day. I ordered my favorite dish, the steak enchiladas. Two huge, fresh corn tortillas stuffed with grilled carne asada steak and cheese, smothered in their scratch made enchilada sauce. Served with rice & beans, $13.99.

Biggest and best enchiladas in town, that I can tell you! I love how the plate comes out as hot as an acetylene torch. The melted cheese gets all crispy on the edges and melts into the rice, etc. Service was absolutely remarkable! Fortunately they offer a smaller version of this with only one enchilada. Not sure what I was thinking, but I have to lay down now…

Chili’s Grill & Bar

One of the best things to order at Chili’s are the outstanding beef enchiladas! More legit than some Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Bottomless chips & salsa round it all out in fine fashion. The chips are on the thin side so you have to go easy dipping into that salsa.

Nuevo Grill & Cantina

Outstanding lunch specials at Nuevo Grill and Cantina!  This place consistently has the best enchiladas in town so that’s my usual order.  You can get them prepared in a variety of ways, including steak, chicken, shrimp, etc.  I particularly like the steak which is made with a liberal amount of lean, flavorful grilled carne asada.  Actually the chicken is right up there too because of the excellent verde sauce blanketing the enchilada.

On the Border

As much as OTB leaves to be desired, their enchiladas never disappoint! Especially with the fresh jalapeño slices crowning the top.

Nuevo Grill & Cantina

Still the best enchiladas (and chips & salsa) in town. Loved my Chicken Enchiladas Verde from Nuevo Girl recently. I noticed they had some good looking Langostino dishes on the menu that I want to try next time. Service was nothing short of outstanding!!

On the Border

Usually a burrito is the perfect handheld food.  Making it “wet” though takes it to a whole new level at On the Border!  Yes, you have to eat it with a knife and fork.  This flavor and texture combination is just bomb when you blanket the whole thing in a flavorful enchilada sauce.  One of my favorite things to order at OTB.
